CTGLP Mission Statement
The Community Teaching Garden Literacy Project is a living laboratory that addresses issues of food and water insecurity and land stewardship in the Indian Lake neighborhood and beyond. The ILCA Teaching Garden site is a place for people of all ages to learn horticultural skills, observe plant science in action, and reap the benefits of biodiversity.
Our intergenerational programs are focused on empowering our neighbors to grow food for the surrounding neighborhood. All of the produce grown in the Teaching Garden is harvested by volunteers and delivered to Worcester Community Fridges. We seek to positively impact the entire community through mentorship, education, and partnerships to create sustainable change.
If you are interested in supporting our mission, you can participate in our youth programs, volunteer or make a one-time or recurring donation. For sponsorship opportunities, please reach out to us at ilcagarden@gmail.com.
