And the winners are ...
Congratulations to Kevin Derida and Misael Alicea, students Worcester's Jacob Hiatt Magnet School, who co-designed the logo for the Indian Lake Community Association's Community Teaching Garden Literacy Project. Each student was recognized during one of the Teaching Garden's recent weekly Arts in the Park events. Thank you, Kate Egnaczak for sparking the flames of authentic community engagement and making.
ILCA partnered with Jacob Hiatt to develop a contest for the creation of a logo for the Teaching Garden. During the recent Arts in the Garden event, ILCA and Jacob Hiatt representatives honored the two students who won the design contest. Each student received a cash prize and a copy of ILCA's book about the Teaching Garden, Reggie & Arlene and the Community Garden.
